Resort Feature

No.1 in Niseko when it comes to course variety

Niseko is more or less a synonym for JAPOW, and Niseko Tokyu Grand HIRAFU, the largest resort in the area, acts as an icon of the mountain. The resort is located at the center of the mountain, and is home to a variety of courses, from technique-demanding steep & deep surfaces covered in the ever-falling powder to groomed runs where you can race into carving turns. Many of the runs are steep with plenty of twists and turns, and are sure to be satisfying even for experienced riders. Niseko Grand HIRAFU has the widest range of courses in Niseko which is extremely popular, and is guaranteed to keep you entertained for a whole day.

Intoxicatingly great night powder

Another great thing about Grand HIRAFU is night skiing: as aspect in which the resort is second to none. A stunning 12 courses, which are the best in Japan when it comes to area and variety, are open during nighttime hours. The snow becomes even drier as temperatures drop further below those during the day, making it easier for your skis or board put on speed. The competition for powder is also a lot less heated compared to daytime; not going for the win at night is simply not an option. Night skiing is especially popular among seasoned Niseko-users that know all too well how crowded the area can be by day. On a clear evening, you can enjoy the night ride of your dreams in the moonlight- a memory you’ll never forget.

The whole package: ride, stay, relax, and enjoy the food

The 2 ski centers and 8-person-capacity high-speed gondola aren’t the only things that make Grand HIRAFU special. The base town has numerous places to stay, places to enjoy Hokkaido’s b-class gourmet cuisine, and onsens that draw from natural springs. There’s everything you can ask for when it comes to accommodation and things to do after-ski. Niseko is the perfect all-in-one village where you can ride, stay, eat, and relax, and an international one as well, with English being a common language.
